Vintage one-gallon ODGEN DAIRY CO CHICAGO Cream/Milk Can Galvanized Metal

Description

Very nice one-gallon metal milk/cream can from the 1940s.  This heavy metal can measures 10 inches tall, the mouth is 4-1/2 inches diameter, and the base measures 6-1/2 inches across.
Raised 1/2-inch tall letters say:
OWNED AND FILLED BY
ODGEN DAIRY CO
CHICAGO -10-41
Along the top rim, raised lettering says:  PATENT NO  2102862
Etched printing on the side states that it holds:  1-GAL P.C.
I am assuming this is galvanized as there is very little rust - only a few shallow spots on the inside (see photos).
There is one handle - still firmly attached.
I do see three minor dents - all visible in the photos.
