    Description

    This is USGS Map GQ-1637, “
    Geologic Map of the Hamburg Quadrangle, Schuylkill and Berks Counties, Pennsylvania
    ”. Published in 1987, there can’t be many of these around. This 7.5 minute quadrangle map is quite colorful and would look nice framed and hung in a home or business in the area. The Schuylkill river and Hamburg are on the west side of the map. Lenhartsville and Maiden Creek are on the east side. The rocks of the area are diverse, including Cambrian through Silurian rocks. The rocks are folded and faulted, and the cross sections are colorful and very helpful in making the geology clear.
    This is a great map on an area rich in history and geology.
