    Description

    This auction is for Volume 2, Number 5, the September, 1968 issue of The Student Mobilizer newspaper. The paper was put out by the Student Mobilization Committee to End the War in Vietnam. The newspaper measures approx. 17-3/4" x 11-1/2" (unfolded) and has 8 pages. The headline reads "Unite! October 21-27 Week of Actions Against The War". (See my other auction for a handbill for the event) Other articles inside this paper include: "GIs Oppose the War", "Hubert says: Its My Kind of Town" article about the August, 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago demonstrations; "SMC Sample Ballot" cartoon, "Army Attacks Antiwar GI"; "GIs Build Aug. 10 Teach-in; "The Draft - Where it's at", etc. The back cover is nice enough to frame "Bring the GI's Home Alive !" The newspaper is in good condition except that the paper has browned with age (probably was printed on low quality paper) - the paper is somewhat brittle. A NICE PIECE OF ANTI-WAR HISTORY!
