You are bidding on a simply AMAZING
Emerald
stone, that weighs in at just shy of 40 Carat (it is in the high 39 Karat range). It is roughly 3/4ths of an inch long and roughly half an inch thick. You can see the size of the emerald in relation to my finger tips in the picture. The Emerald is COLUMBIAN in origin. It comes in a vintage GEM PURSE or satchel, which you will also see pictured. You have never seen a raw stone like this one! There are no others on ebay!
The Emerald has several internal, as well as external flaws. I AM NOT AN EXPERT grader, but from what I can see there are several scratches to the exterior of the emerald. There are also several black streaks or marks to the outside which "cleave" the inside of the emerald as well. These could be considered, "Carbons" from a diamond-grading standpoint. There are "intergrowths" and "grain lines" visible inside the stone. Please note the flaws in the pictures, which you will find attached to this auction.
